Starting out on any marketing career is tough work for any Graduate. OK, so you have the knowledge 'up there' but you're lacking one thing - real practical experience.
This is exactly how I felt 3 years ago as a young Graduate. Determined to succeed in the profession I had chosen I applied to Base Connections, a growing local company, where I hit the ground running. It's amazing how much commercial knowledge you gain through your Clients and Managers. Being self sufficient and having a keen eye for detail are a must, but above all being supported by experienced Managers who assist in developing your skills really sets you on a great footing for your career ladder!
Now a year on from Base Connections I work as a UK Project Manager within the Marketing department for an international medical device company. Looking back - Base Connections helped sharpen the skills I had and pushed me to develop some new ones. I can honestly say the experience did me a great deal in developing my career path.
